Education at Starkey Ranch
Starkey Ranch K-8 School is the main reason many residents have chosen Starkey Ranch to put down roots. The vision, supported by a partnership between Pasco County Schools, Parks, Public Libraries, and Wheelock Communities, has now come to life. Starkey Ranch is excited for the fall 2021 opening of our very own neighborhood schools that will provide local education for infants through 8th grade. Creative World offers the highest quality education for infants through Pre-K. Across the street, Pasco County Schools is opening Starkey K-8 School, a state-of-the-art magnet school with an innovative, modern approach to education. On the K-8 School Campus, Pasco County is also opening the Starkey Ranch TLC which is home to a wonderful Theater, Library, and Cultural Center. During school hours, the Starkey Ranch TLC shares certain facilities with the Starkey Ranch K-8 School, and after the school day is over some of the school’s recreational facilities will be open to the public. Just down the street, the Starkey Ranch District Park is the home of champions and will open four brand new softball fields in 2021 with more amenities for the local community. Just imagine the convenience of parking the car and walking the kids to athletics and extracurricular activities, with everything centrally located in one beautiful location.
Starkey Ranch K-8 School
An innovative magnet school in the heart of Starkey Ranch, Starkey K-8 will offer three magnet programs: Technical Fine Arts, Computer Science, and World Languages. Students in lower grades will have ample opportunity to explore all three programs before choosing a “mini major” in grades 4 and 5. School facilities include a modern gymnasium, athletic fields, and sports courts, which will be exclusively open to students during the school day, and available to the public after school, on weekends, and during school breaks.
Starkey Ranch Theatre Library Cultural Center
The Theater, Library, Cultural Center is adjacent to the Starkey Ranch K-8, creating a community campus that fosters education, arts, and engagement for all residents and surrounding Pasco County. The multi-purpose space houses a Public Library with a Youth Reading Room and an Adult Reading Room, a multi-use Theater, maker spaces, an outdoor stage, all situated around a community ‘living room’ that provides a central meeting place for residents to hang out, read, or socialize with their fellow neighbors.
Creative World School
Located near Starkey Ranch K-8, Creative World School is a leading early child education franchise brand. They offer robust educational programming for infants, toddlers, twos, preschool, and VPK, as well as children up to the age of twelve with before and after school care and summer camp programs.
