Mike and Julie Fisher will forever hold the title of the first homeowners at Starkey Ranch. Tampa residents for 25 years, they are no strangers to the Pasco area and all it has to offer. With one daughter grown and out of the house, they were ready for a new home that energizes their love of the outdoors, encourages their social lifestyle, and is close enough to downtown to catch an occasional Lightning game.

Long before the model homes, and even well before the Welcome Center, Mike and Julie came across Starkey Ranch in an online search. When they heard about the 20-mile trail system and reputable builders, they jumped right in to have their pick of the best home sites in the community.

“Buying pre-construction actually has quite a few perks,” noted Mike. “From regular meetings with the construction team to the ease of custom upgrades, one of the greatest investments you can make is buying early on.” But the perk that really sealed the deal for the couple was knowing they could grab their bikes and hop on amazing trails right from their front door, instead of having to load up the car and sit through Tampa traffic.

If you move into the neighborhood, Mike and Julie will be sure to stop by and give a friendly “hello.” As the franchise owners for Our Town America of Tampa Bay, a newcomer welcome program, they are truly Starkey Ranch’s very own welcome wagon.
