Happy Birthday, Welcome Center!

On April 22, 2015 we opened the Starkey Ranch Welcome Center with the goal of providing warm hospitality, hot coffee, cold water, fresh cookies and great community information to prospective residents.

Since then, the Welcome Center has greeted more than 3,500 families, many ofundefined whom are now calling Starkey Ranch home. Visitors have come from almost all 50 states and from as far afield as Australia, Puerto Rico and China. In addition, the team behind the scenes at the Welcome Center has organized dozens of resident socials, meetings and community events designed to bring future neighbors together and jump-start their enjoyment of living here.

The building is also home to the Starkey Ranch parks and recreation staff, led by Mathew Eberius, whose job is to manage and program the Starkey Ranch District Park and all resident amenities and activities.

“Our visitors love the map table, the video, the contemporary interpretations of historic branding irons, and the old Starkey family photos,” says Welcome Center manager Jane Branham. “But our return-visitors really like the variety of cookies we bake on site every morning. Some of our residents start their day with a cup of coffee from our Keurig and an oatmeal raisin to go.”
