Wheelock Communities, the developer of Starkey Ranch, today announced the sale of 61 townhome lots to M/I Homes, the top-selling builder in the community since home sales began in May of 2015.

At the Townhomes at Whitfield Park, M/I Homes will offer buyers 4 floor plans ranging from 1,691 to 1,851 square feet and the choice of 2 to 4 bedrooms. Each plan features an open kitchen and great room on the first floor and a private courtyard and covered lanai leading to a detached, two-car garage accessed from a rear alley. Each townhome building will contain 4 or 6 residential units.

David Parker, vice-president of sales and marketing at M/I Homes, says the company plans to announce pricing and begin sales in September. Model homes are expected to be ready later in the fall.

Starkey Ranch project director Matt Call says that many visitors to the Welcome Center have expressed an interest in townhomes and other types of low-maintenance living. “This first enclave of townhomes offers views of lakes and wetlands and is surrounded by single-family homes that have sold for over $500,000,” added Call. “The pool, playground, dog park and open fields in Whitfield Park are just a block away.”
