The Florida Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) will award its highest possible distinction, the 2016 Award of Excellence, to Starkey Ranch and its landscape architecture firm Dix.Hite+Partners.

The award entry focused heavily on the series of parks, trail systems, and open spaces throughout the community. The jury expressed extreme excitement for the stewardship of the land and the high level of design thought executed through the details.  The award will be presented at the ASLA annual meeting in Jacksonville in August.
