Monday November 7, 2016
On Friday, November 5th, more than 7,000 kids of all ages descended on Starkey Ranch to take part in our first Touch-a-Truck event. The big attraction was the chance to sit in, play with, and learn about the more than 90 vehicles that ran the gamut from construction trucks and school buses to police cars and golf carts.
The event included an interactive kids' zone, food vendors, and the opportunity to meet our home builders who had great giveaways. Pulte Homes gave out branded firefighter hats and the other builders had a contest to win kid-sized vehicles: a Denali pickup truck from CalAtlantic Homes, a bike from Taylor Morrison, a John Deere tractor from M/I Homes, and a Mini Cooper convertible from Homes by WestBay.
Touch-a-Truck will return to Starkey Ranch in November 2017. If you'd like to exhibit a truck or big vehicle that kids would enjoy, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
