All three public schools to which Starkey Ranch students are assigned for the 2017-18 school year have earned Five-Star Schools status, as announced by the Florida Department of Education in January. Odessa Elementary School, River Ridge Middle School and River Ridge High School each earned the distinction which recognizes exemplary levels of family and community involvement in the schools. River Ridge is the only middle school in Pasco County on this year’s list. 

The River Ridge assignment for 6^th through 12^th grade students will be new this fall, and we’re tickled purple. Go Knights! The middle and high schools share a beautiful parklike campus with one of the largest athletic complexes in Pasco County, including a 3,500-seat stadium and 2,850-person gym. Team spirit supports the district-champion football team and state-champion women’s weight-lifting team. Student productions and community events fill the 900-seat campus theater. And academic offerings include a continuum of Career Academy programs in engineering, communications, fine arts, teaching and business.
