When Bryan and Kim Kloote met in high school, they had no idea they’d ever marry. Much less do so with their blended family of five wonderful kids in tow nearly two decades later. Now the family calls Starkey Ranch “home.”  They moved into their dream M/I Home in Whitfield Park in July. But it was on a recent October evening that the couple’s love story came full circle as Bryan proposed to Kim after a trail walk around the lake in Cunningham Park.

Did Kim say “Yes?”  Oh, you bet! “This is a second marriage for both of us,” she beams. “Bryan reached out on Facebook. We reconnected and we’ve been together over three years.” Bryan chose the Community Garden in Cunningham Park to propose because the community is where all of their family traditions will now be unfolding together.

"We discovered Starkey Ranch well over a year ago and we knew this was the place for us and our together-family," says Kim. "We're so active and are lives are so full! The community was beautiful, fun and family oriented with all the amenities and resident programs. It was the perfect setting for all of us!"

The couple is planning a December celebration at Cunningham Hall in Cunningham Park. Bryan is in the military (thank you for your service!) and will soon be deployed. So he and Kim have happily already said their “I dos.”  They will celebrate with a marriage blessing and dinner surrounded by kids, friends and family, the first of their new Starkey Ranch traditions.
