District Park will soon be action central!

Fall’s coming and Starkey Ranch District Park will soon be jumping with all kinds of sports, practices and family events. It’s awesome having a new, open-to-the-public Pasco County District Park right in our community. For both playing and spectating, you can’t beat living where top leagues come to enjoy lighted fields, practice fields, a concession stand, plenty of comfort facilities and more.

Get a kick out soccer? Florida Premier FC, with the mission “We Love Soccer,” will be holding practices at District Park including Happy Feet for younger kids 2 to 8, as well as practices for competitive and recreational soccer leagues for older players.

Plus, Trinity Lacrosse will hold practices for kids 8U through 14U, including all 8th graders. Travel leagues for baseball and softball use our fields as does i9 Sports, a multi-sport organization of age-appropriate programs. And the Pasco Athletic League’s Trinity Mustangs are scheduled to play several fan-favorite football games at District Park this year. Go Mustangs!

But sports aren’t all the action. Shopping fans, check out our cool Sunday Markets. Peruse the offerings of 30 to 50 vendors of arts, crafts, food concessions and more. We’re also excited that this October, the annual Pasco Country Alzheimer’s Walk will base out of District Park’s event lawn for the second year in a row.

Come on out and play! With four picnic pavilions, a playground and the trailhead for our 20-mile trail system all located in Starkey Ranch District Park, it’s always a popular destination for bicyclists, hikers, party throwers and more.
